On February 15, 2022, the university ranking organization THE World University Rankings announced the results of the global ranking of young universities in 2022. Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) was ranked 98th out of 790 universities are included in the rankings.

THE Young University Rankings (THE Young University Rankings) is a worldwide ranking of universities 50 years old or less, published by THE since 2012. This is the first time. TDTU into this ranking.

On February 21, 2022, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) welcomed students back to face-to-face learning after the online learning period due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic.

On February 24, 2022, the Trade Union of Ton Duc Thang University organized a fundraiser to support the scholarship fund for orphaned students due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Attending the ceremony were representatives of the City Confederation of Labor. Ho Chi Minh City, Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans in Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh, leaders of Hoc Mon district and 20 students orphaned by the COVID-19 pandemic in communes and towns of Hoc Mon district.
