Ton Duc Thang University visited and worked at National University of Laos
On June 5, 2024, the delegation of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) led by Dr. Vu Anh Duc - Chairman of the University Council as the head of the delegation visited, worked, and signed a cooperation agreement with the National University of Laos (NUOL), signed a memorandum of agreement between the Faculty of Law (TDTU) and the Faculty of Law and Politics (NUOL). Receiving the delegation was Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dexanourath Seneduangdeth – Acting Director of NUOL, Head of Diplomatic Relations, and Deans of NUOL, Institute/Center.
On the occasion of the working trip of the TDTU delegation's delegation to visit, the leaders of the two units agreed to implement exchange programs for lecturers and students of the Faculties of the two Schools. At the same time, it expanded cooperation to develop scientific research activities. Besides, both units emphasize promoting cooperation of graduate programs at both Master's and PhD levels. This is related to the friendship between Laos and Vietnam; TDTU will have policies to support scholarships, dormitories, etc., for former students from Laos.
Regarding the cooperation between the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Law and Politics, the two sides agreed in July 2024 that the Faculty of Law (TDTU) will organize a student delegation to study, exchange, and exchange culture in Laos. This will be the first activity to implement the cooperation signing activity between the two Faculties, and in the future, they will continue to carry out academic and cultural exchange activities.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dexanourath Seneduangdeth and the NUOL delegation highly appreciated TDTU’s educational activities, scientific research, and international cooperation activities. As Acting Director of NUOL, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dexanourath Seneduangdeth wishes the two units to carry out more specific cooperation activities.
NUOL, established in 1996, is a public university based in Vientiane’s capital with more than 23,000 students and 800 staff, lecturers, and staff training majors from bachelor’s to doctoral degrees allocated into 13 specialized faculties under NUOL. NOUL is also expanding international cooperation in the fields of training and research and improving exchange activities for lecturers and students. NUOL has signed 155 MOUs and agreements with universities and academic association organizations from 29 countries worldwide.
