Vietnamese coffee experience: The cultural connection between TDTU students and international students

On March 26, 2025, at Ton Duc Thang University, a vibrant cultural exchange program took place, bringing together lecturers and students from the Faculty of Law - TDTU and the Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities – TDTU, along with international students from the UK, France, the Netherlands, Canada, and more, through the Outreach Vietnam Organization. Notably, the participation of lecturers and students from the Faculty of Political Theory and Social Sciences & Humanities – PPU further enriched the event, broadening perspectives and enhancing discussions on culture. With a diverse range of activities, the program offered participants memorable experiences
• Coffee culture experience – exploring the unique characteristics of Vietnamese coffee-drinking habits.

• Academic and cultural exchange – providing Vietnamese and international students the opportunity to discuss cultural, legal, and social issues.

• Games and music activities – connecting participants through joyful and creative moments with lively music and engaging games.

The event not only helped students expand their understanding of various national cultures but also fostered connection, mutual understanding, and collaboration among the younger generation globally. It is a practice demonstrating the role of education and international exchange in creating an open and diverse learning environment.
Ton Duc Thang University is one of the leading universities in Vietnam, distinguished for its strategy of internationalizing education. TDTU has established partnerships with numerous prestigious universities and educational organizations worldwide, such as La Trobe University, Melbourne (Australia), Saxion University (Netherlands), the Technical University of Ostrava (Czech Republic), and more. These collaborative programs include student exchanges, scientific research, and the development of joint training initiatives, enabling TDTU students to access advanced education and a global learning environment. Additionally, TDTU actively participates in international research projects and organizes academic conferences and events featuring experts and researchers, further enhancing its standing on the global education map. Particularly, FLAW students at TDTU have reaped significant benefits through multinational learning and exchange experiences. These opportunities not only allow them to broaden their diverse “legal perspectives” but also enhance their foreign language skills and strengthen their confidence in a globalized context.
The cultural exchange program concluded with many positive impressions, promising to pave the way for further opportunities for connection and collaboration in the future.
